Dear Anonymous,

As we go forward our focus will be on rationalizing our overheads and driving RevPAR growth in all our hotels. African Sun will also be exiting out of non-profitable lease arrangements as was evidenced by the recent exit out of South Africa.

Going forward, the group’s focus will be to add more rooms to our portfolio through management contracts which have a direct positive cash impact on the bottom line. All these initiatives will get the company back to profitability by the end of our financial year in 2012, and subsequently see the share price recovering as a result.

Dear Dr Munyeza

Belated congratulations on the recognition you received for your efforts in improving the tourism industry in SubSaharan Africa. As the CEO of African Sun Hotels, I would imagine that you would be interested in an electricity efficiency management system that will reduce your hotels' electricity consumption, save your company a significant amount of money whilst reducing your carbon footprint.
My name is Lucas Bambo, I am an electricity efficiency management consultant with National Power Contractors. I read your opinions with interest. It's great that there is a spiritual awakening that appears to be affecting business thought and practice.
What is most notable to me is Isaiah 61:6. I would argue that it is the trade-off for all the good things that are coming our way, to be the ministers of the Lord. This may work itself out in how we look after widows and orphans, the poor etc.
What often happens is we plunder the season of plenty and forget to prolong it by living out 61:6. I hope that as you spread the message of preparation and positioning, you will remind all that it's not just for self enrichment but for the benefit of others too. Remind us of the work of a priest and their interaction with the community at large so that our blessing will not be unbalanced.
