In my blog this month, I ask for your indulgence as I wear my pastoral hat and reflect on the changes taking place around us. From a spiritual perspective, seasons in this country have changed and as businesses and individuals, we must gear up for this, embrace it and start behaving in a manner commensurate with the upturn that this country is destined for. In Isaiah 60, verse 10 and 17-18,and Isaiah 61 verses 4,5 and 7 the prophetic angle on Zimbabwe is very clear. Economic recovery and abundance is imminent. Seasons have changed and we must not get left behind. While some may expect the change in fortune for this country to be announced by whistles and bells, I see it differently. It will ebb in such a way that if you are not aware you of it, you will miss the train.
I attended the recently held CEO’s Indaba held in Nyanga and it was clear that businesses and government have had a meeting of the minds and both are focusing on the economic development and prosperity of this nation. All the ingredients are here in this land, all we need to do is harness this properly. Again, I attended another similar gathering, the Euromoney Investment conference held in Harare this week, and this position was reiterated as it is clear that the world wants to do business with Zimbabwe. My fellow countrymen, it is time to embrace and harness our potential. Those that stand up and arise are the ones who will give testimony to the benefits of the change in season. I end by posing this question, where will you be when others tell their tales of glory? Don’t be found wanting and not prepared for the greatness ahead!
Sincerely,
Shingi
